Terms of Use
These terms explain what you can expect from Mucin and what we ask of you when you use it.

Agreeing to these terms
By using the Mucin app or website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
Who can use the service
You must be at least 13 years old to use Mucin. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you need permission from a parent or guardian, who should review these terms with you.
Your account
An account is optional; you can listen as a guest. If you create one, use an email address you own and keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
If you think someone else has accessed your account, change your password and let us know at hello@mucin.app.
Using the service fairly
Use Mucin for your own personal, non-commercial listening. Don't copy, download, record or redistribute music or other content beyond what the app itself lets you do.
Don't break the law, impersonate others, or put anything offensive or infringing in your profile. Don't try to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer or get around the limits of the service or the services it relies on, including through automated access or scraping.
Music and other content
Mucin doesn't own the music, artwork or lyrics you find in it. They belong to their artists, labels and other rights holders, and reach you through third-party services: Audius, Apple Music, LRCLIB and, for accounts in personal mode, YouTube Music.
Those services' own terms also apply to their content, and they decide what's available. Content may change or disappear without notice.
Your profile
You own the name, bio and photo you add to your profile. You give us permission to store and show them only as needed to run Mucin, for example to show your name to people who open your invite link.
Only upload what you have the right to use. We may remove profile content that breaks these terms.
Beta features
Some features are offered as a beta to a limited number of listeners before everyone else. We decide who gets in, and we may decline a request, pause or end a beta, or change how it works at any time.
Beta features are still being tested, so they may be less reliable than the rest of Mucin, and what you can play may change without notice.
Provided “as is”
We work hard to keep Mucin running well, but to the extent the law allows, it is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We don't promise that it will always be available or error-free, or that any particular song will be there.
Availability and changes
We may add, change, pause or remove features, and some features may not be available everywhere or on every account. Music can also become unavailable when the services that provide it change.
We may stop offering Mucin altogether. If we do, we'll try to let you know in advance.
Ending your use
You can stop using Mucin at any time. If you have an account, you can delete it in Settings in the app or on the website; this permanently erases your sign-in, profile, photo and account settings right away.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service, its users or the services it relies on at risk.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Mucin and the people behind it are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, for loss of data stored on your device, or for problems caused by third-party services.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited by agreement.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page and, if a change is significant, let you know in the app or on the website. If you keep using Mucin after a change, you accept the updated terms.
